Moving from the market economy to the giving economy.
Our most vulnerable citizens no longer have access to meals at soup kitchens or drop-in centres. Youth and seniors have no choice but to leave where they are staying, and risk their own safety to find food. Kids getting food through school, don't have access to take home meals.
Our frontline healthcare heroes responding to the COVID-19 crisis no longer have access to meals from cafes and kitchens within hospitals.
Local restaurants committed to using local producers make $10 meals for people in need. This initiative will keep our food supply chain alive, and strengthen our local and regional food security. Local fleets are being matched to delivery needs. With an increased need for meals, restaurants can fill the gaps in need.
Through the generosity of people like you, and local foundations, we are able to centralize and efficiently distribute sustenance to the people who need it most. We are filling the gap in meal needs that current providers don't have the resources or kitchens to produce. By centralizing the need we provide a transparent meals ordered - meals delivered accountability. There are no fees taken in any part of this process, thanks to the generosity of the Food.ee meal ordering platform.
